He is a member of the International Association for Food Protection and American Society for Microbiology.

Biography: ZHAO LINGXIA is currently working as a professor in the department of plant science, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, University in Shanghai, China. He completed his Ph.D. in 2000 at Northeast Agricultural University, School of Horticulture on the thesis of Study on the genetic resources for the Solanum lycopersicoides. He has as membership of professional societies/ associations as executive chairman for young scientist’s horum in field horticulture. He is a Regular reviewer of competitive grants National Natural Science Foundation of China. He also published books related to microbiology and genetics.

Jesus Rodriguez-Miranda

Biography: Jesus Rodriguez-Miranda is a Research Professor in the Department of chemical and biochemical engineering since 2014 in the Technological Institute of Durango: Durango, Mexico. He completed his Ph.D. in Science of Biochemical Engineering in 2012. He completed his Masters of Science in food in 2007 Technological Institute of Tuxtepec: Tuxtepec, Oaxaca, Mexico. He published 49 articles in national and international related to Food Science, Dairy Science, Agriculture, etc. He peer-reviewed for 9 articles mostly related to Food Science, Nutrition and Biotechnology.

Pedro de Magalhaes Padilha

Biography: Graduated in Chemistry from the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (1988) and Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Unesp Chemistry Institute, Araraquara Campus (1993). He is currently professor/advisor of the Graduate Program in General and Applied Biology of the Institute of Biosciences / UNESP-Campus Botucatu, Graduate Program in Zootechnics of FMVZ / UNESP-Botucatu, Associate Professor IB - Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry / UNESP-Botucatu and Productivity Fellow 1C from CNPq. He is an advisor to several national and international funding agencies and arbiter of leading national and international analytical, bio analytical, biotechnology and food journals. He is a member of the Research Network that develops a metalloproteomic study of mercury in the Amazon region. In this area of ​​expertise, he has excelled in the identification of toxic and essential metal/metalloid biomarkers, having coordinated more than twenty scientific projects and interacting with several Brazilian and foreign researchers.

Biography: Fahim Shaltout is Professor of Meat Hygiene, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Food Control, Moshtohor, Benha University, Egypt. He is a member of the Egyptian Organization for Standardization and Quality and Member EUPC (Egyptian Universities Promotion Committees) at Supreme Council Universities Egypt Higher Education Committee 101 (2019-2022). He is also a Member of Judging Committees EUPC (Egyptian Universities Promotion Committees) at Supreme Council Universities Egypt Higher Education Committee 102 (2016-2019). He completed his Ph.D. of Meat Hygiene at Zagazig University, Egypt. Master of Meat Hygiene (M. V. Sc.) in Zagazig University-Benha Branch, Egypt. Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (B. V. Sc.), Zagazig University-Benha Branch, Egypt.

Osman Erkmen

Biography: Osman Erkmen is a Professor of food microbiology in the Department of Food Engineering under the University of Gaziantep (Turkey) since 2004. He did his Ph.D. in General Microbiology in 1994. He has published over 100 research articles and book chapters in the fields of Food Microbiology, Food Toxicology, Food Sanitation, and General Microbiology with more than 1500 citations. He is the editor of the book Gıda Mikrobiyolojisi (Food Microbiology) in the Turkish language and is an author of four books: Food Microbiology Principles into Practice (Volume 1, 2), A Laboratory Manual in General Microbiology and Basic Methods for the Microbiological Analysis of Foods.

Dan Cristian Vodnar

Biography: Dr. Dan C. Vodnar is the Vice-rector for Research, Associate Professor and Ph.D. Coordinator on Food Biotechnology, Food Chemistry and Food Microbiology, the field at UASVM CN. He completed his Ph.D. Diploma in Biotechnology in 2010. He is involved within the fields of fermentation studying the metabolic capacity of strains to convert the substrates into valuable organic compounds, immobilization of strains and bioactive compounds on different matrices, exposure of food matrices to simulated gastrointestinal juices, food waste valorization into non-dairy probiotic beverages, carbohydrate metabolic conversions in sourdough fermentation, molecular gastronomy applications, and functional innovative food products.


Chee Kong Yap

Associate Professor
University Putra Malaysia

Biography: Chee Kong YAP is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Biology, Faculty of Science at University Putra Malaysia (UPM) since May 2009. He obtained his Bachelor of Science with Education (Hons), Masters of Science and Ph.D. degrees in 1998, 2000 and 2003, respectively, from the Faculty of Science and Environmental Studies from UPM. From 2002 until December 2018, he has already published 261 peer-reviewed papers in which he is the first author/ corresponding author for more than 200 papers. In addition, he has published 21 papers (8.60%) as a single author of the paper. Until December 2018, 192 of them (including book chapters) have now been indexed in Elsevier’s Scopus with an H-index of 22 (>2072 citations) and H-index of 26 (>3284 citations) based on Google Scholar. So far, Dr. Yap has one accepted patent during his patent filing and application in November 2019, UPM.

Raffaele Pilla

Biography: Raffaele Pilla, Pharm.D., Ph.D., Doctor Europaeus, received his Master’s degree in Pharmacy at G. d’Annunzio University in Chieti-Pescara, Italy in 2005, where he also served internships at the Cell Physiology Laboratory and Molecular Biology Laboratory. Prior to his degree, he was an Erasmus Student at Faculte de Pharmacie de Reims in Reims, France. He received his Doctor Europaeus in 2010 from Pitie-Salpetriere Institute in Paris, France. Also in 2010, he received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Physiology, and Pathology of Muscle at G. d’Annunzio University in Chieti-Pescara, Italy.

Carmen Formisano

Biography: Dr. Carmen Formisano graduated in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technology, she get the specialization in Hospital Pharmacy and is qualified to practice the profession of Pharmacist. She completed her Ph.D. in “Natural Substances Pharmacologically Active” (2005-2008), and in the same year, she won the concourse for the obtainment of a Research teaching in "Chemistry II", for the two year period 2006-2007 and 2007-2008, at the Faculty of Biotechnology, of University of Naples Federico II. In December 2011 she became Researcher for the disciplinary sector BIO15 at the Faculty of Pharmacy of University of Naples Federico II. Actually she is a Confirmed Researcher in service at the Department of Pharmacy of Federico II. For the academic years 2011-2012- 2013-2014-2014-2015 she held the course of Animal Biology at the Degree Course in Quality Control, for the academic years 2015-2016 she held the course of Animal and Vegetal the results of this activity materialize in over 50 publications on Journals reviewed by Chemical Abstract and 38 communications at national and international conferences.

Vincent Nyau

Biography: Dr. Vincent Nyau is currently working as a Lecturer and Researcher at the University of Zambia, Department of Food Science and Nutrition. He completed his Ph.D. with a specialization in Nutraceuticals at the University of Cape Town in 2013, and a Master of Science in Food Technology – major in Post-harvest and Food Preservation Engineering at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in 2006. Dr. Nyau has expertise in agricultural food systems, food processing, post-harvest technologies, and nutraceuticals. He has demonstrated experience in the coordination and facilitation of workshops and training programs and has participated in several consultancy and research work in the Department. He has authored various research articles on phenolic phytochemicals and antioxidant activities of plant foods.

Biography: Maria Stefanova Atanasova is currently working as an Independent Researcher, Scientific Consulting, Chemical Engineering, UCTM – Sofia, Bulgaria. She completed her Ph.D. Diploma in Organic Chemistry at the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy – Sofia in 2003. She has a membership of the scientific organization in Bulgarian Association of Alimentation and Dietary – Sofia. She got a Certificate for Application in Industrial Practices of Scientific Research results from Pharmadent-Bio” LTD, Sofia – 2014.
